In the Holy Bible, King David wrote 150 Psalms. These are known to be his songs of Praise and Worship to the Lord God Almighty.
The world population uses so many styles of music for educating or simply entertaining the crowds. This has always been and shall always be. Either way, music carries a message. Whether tangible or intangible. Direct or implied. Communications 101.
So, when the need arose to come up with a platform for discussing all things music, we turned to King David, the Psalmist himself.
Why, you ask?
Well, because of Isaiah 55 "Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples."
One of his well known Psalms is the Twenty Third one. Which reads:
This is only six verses of a wonderful prayer for encouragement and affirmation.
The music topics to be discussed on the CHICHIMA - Runneth Over platform, are from anointed men and women whom God has used over time to minister to us, his people. The world over. Whether to a few people or to multitudes all over the world. So, the following verse from Psalm 23 stood out when seeking to name this platform:
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
When translated to the IsiZulu language, it says:
Beautiful indeed.
Our featured musicians, we believe to be anointed by the Lord; just like King David was.
