The church has done many teachings over the years about praying for the salvation of one's family and loved ones. Many times it has been taught that by being the light, those in darkness will be drawn to Christ.
There is some truth in the statements above. But I needed to consult the Holy Bible. The scripture says:
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him - John 7:18
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven. Matthew 5:16
Therefore, I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by my Father. John 6:65
Your light shining is for people to glorify God. Coming to Jesus Christ is granted by God. Therefore, let no one place on you the burden of another coming to Jesus Christ. That is granted by God alone.
Take a good sigh of relief because the yoke of Christ is easy. Not a burden.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen.
You can ask the Lord by prayer, supplication and thanksgiving, for those you love to come to Jesus. To have salvation.
Don't weary of doing good; yes. But it's God that grants to people the coming to Christ.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
One plants, another waters but growth comes from the Lord.
Truly it is the will of God that prevails.
The hope of the righteous will be gladness, but the expectation of the wicked will perish. The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
Amen.
