Leaders in the Holy Bible did not use intimidation as their root strategy for achieving success. Nor self entitlement.

Look at Noah. Moses. David. Gideon. Solomon. Jesus Christ. The Apostles. Ruth. Jehoshaphat. Esther.
Read up on them and understand for yourself the experiences that led to them being in the Holy Bible. For generations to learn from them about the nature and ways of the Lord we serve.
Self entitlement and exaltation can have visible undertones of insecurity. If you are a male, you need not to really over emphasize or over exert yourself at being the male you already are.
When you are skilled at something, you are skilled at it. One can make a conscious effort to upskill themselves. Seeking knowledge and understanding are biblical.
Moses was not the most keen about the Egypt assignment. But God...
David was not even part of the army that had to fight the Philistines. But God...
Solomon had to ask the Lord for wisdom to lead. Then God...
Esther had to fast for three whole days. In her palace. Already a Queen. Just to receive favour from her Husband. So. God...
Imagine!
I have heard it said by many that God does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called.
A Holy Bible scripture says:
It is not the one who commends themselves, but the one that God commends, is approved.
Many times, I have experienced or witnessed statements like:
1: I must reach this milestone first. Because I am older.
2: Another lady from work took a day off. She was emotional and hurt that her younger, unmarried sister was pregnant. Before her right standing older self.
3: An old man cussing out a toilet because nature calls for others too.
4: A woman telling another that they don't deserve certain life experiences as they are just not worthy.
5: A young lady, using a long standing born again Christian status to cover selfishness.
6: Others use qualification and position to exploit others and subject them to torment or oppression.
Whether in pretense or in truth, God's will prevails. As long as Christ is preached also.
Is it not interesting that what one uses to emphasize their authority, another uses its very opposite to validate their authority?
For example:
Because I am single, I have the freedom to do a lot.
Versus:
Because I am married, I have the support to do a lot.
Either way, both "do a lot."
Other common emphasizing opposing reasons are:
Educated vs Uneducated
Younger vs Older
Female vs Male
Black vs White
Rich vs Poor
Christian vs Non Christian
Ethnicity vs Globalisation
Whatever the justification, it serves the beholder some freedom and justification.
Remember:
No one receives anything unless it has been given them from Heaven.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. Galatians 5:13-15
The benefit you glean from the justication, you should be able to openly share with another. If its use is because a Godly love for yourself; must it then not be freely imparted to another, as an expression of love?
What you are, is for the glory of the Lord. You may not be aware of it at the time. You may not even understand it. But in due season, it will be revealed. Perceived. Testified.
How many times have you looked back to another season, only to laugh at yourself. Perceiving that what you boasted about was not the wisest move? Realising that what you rejected, actually was the thing you needed?
This is not about regret. It's about humility and subjection to the will and glory of the Lord Almighty. The orchestrator of everything. Whether on Heaven or earth. Visible or invisible. Whether thrones or dominions.
Child of God; tame your boastfulness. If you glory? Glory in the Lord. Reject the carnal mind. It's fruits are not life giving.
Godly authority or God chosen is not boastful. It is just itself.
A shepherd boy delivering cheese for his brothers.
An ex Royalty-groomed fugitive, tending to his Father in Law's flock.
A widowed woman, gleaning away.
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake:
Whether it be to the king, as supreme or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
